Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

I ran cross country and track at Orem High in Orem, Utah during all three of the years I attended high school. I don't really have any great accomplishments but I'm probably in the best shape of my life right now so hopefully I'll have some soon!

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to break three hours in a marathon by the end of 2009, and I want to break 36 minutes in a 10k.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'm planning to serve an LDS mission starting next spring, so I will be taking a two year break from running. Right now my main goal is to break three hours in a marathon before I leave to serve that mission!

Personal:

I just graduated from high school and I will be attending BYU in the fall! I am 18 and planning to serve an LDS mission in starting next May. I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers, only one of which is a runner. (my oldest brother)

Today I am so thankful for the day of rest I get! I worked 50 hours this week so I am really tired. But I'm looking forward to this week of running so I'll let you know how it goes. By the way, I don't know if anyone else reads this other than Steve, but I'm just assuming he is the only one, but if not I would be interested to know if someone else reads this!

I don't know how many read mine, but probably a few here and there. Usually the more often you blog, the more people will read it. And also people usually read race reports and then get to know you too. Do you have an idea for which marathon you will run? They have one in Logan that is pretty popular. It's in September. I can bring you up there if you want. Otherwise, the only other Saturday one that is sort of close is in Nevada in November. (St. George registration is already closed.)

P.S. The Logan one is called Top of Utah. Just google it.
